The Community Works team is an internal department of Lambeth Council which under takes day to day repairs, planned maintenance and fire safety/FRA remedial works across the council housing stock. The Community Works function is part of the councils resigned repair and maintenance services, committed to providing better quality, socially responsible and digitally driven services. The Community Works team directly employs a team of staff who directly deliver services rather than outsourcing them. The team is striving to create a diverse workforce of council employees and apprentices that will provide much needed local employment and training opportunities. The Community Works Team work with other departments to ensure a effective, reliable service to residents while reducing the councils reliance on third parties.
