Window or doorsets will have varying performance characteristics, including security, acoustic performance, fire resistance and thermal performance. All external windows and doorsets should have a basic level of durability and weather performance and be manufactured to an appropriate standard.
Our General Performance Scheme for External Windows and Doorsets is designed to verify that products are manufactured to the appropriate material specific British standard (BS644, BS4873, BS6510 or BS7412) and the specification that was initially tested, to provide confidence that the product will perform as expected. Bluesky certification is a UKAS accredited certification body, No. 9413 and can provide accredited certification for the manufacture of general performance doors and windows to various standards; please look at our accreditation scope.
Having chosen a window or door, it is important that it is installed correctly, to maintain the performance of the product. We therefore suggest that you choose a member of our scheme for the installation of external windows and doors.
