Manufacturers will use various methods to demonstrate that their products perform, some of which provide more confidence than others.
In order to join our product certification schemes, manufacturers are required to provide evidence that the product design performs as expected. They then have an initial audit carried out at their factory, so that Bluesky can determine whether their mainstream production is to the same specification as that initially tested.
Once certification has been achieved, ongoing factory audits are required, together with periodic audit tests to show that the performance characteristics are present in their products.
Finally, to demonstrate which products are covered by the certification the manufacturer must apply the Bluesky mark to each product.
